Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is a lot of things.
The “jabroni-beating, pie-eating, trailblazing, eyebrow-raising,” People’s Champ has done nothing but amaze us throughout his entire career. But, if you thought his antics in the ring and on the screen were impressive, you should see him go to work with the ladies.
It’s no secret every woman wants a bite of the People’s Strudel and that’s something The Rock takes a lot of pride in.
However, when it comes down to it, The Rock really does know how to treat a lady right. He’s mentally equipped to handle her emotions and that’s something not a lot of guys understand.
In a 2013 interview with Essence Magazine, Johnson shared his secret to satisfying women, saying,
When I say I’m going to take care of a woman, I don’t just mean physically or sexually or romantically. I’m going to take care of her emotionally and spiritually.
Then again, it also helps a little when you’re the most electrifying man in sports entertainment and the biggest action movie star in Hollywood.
Confidence is something The Rock has never lacked and women respect him for it. Take a couple of lessons from the great one below.
Make sure she feels comfortable around you.
During a 2013 interview to promote his movie, “G.I. Joe,” The Rock put his entire skillset on display when he was interviewed by TV host Dulce Osuna.
He immediately put her at ease with some light game, joking around about getting married, and she instantly felt a connection and jumped all over him.
Granted, she was pretty thirsty off the jump, but Dwayne knew how to handle the situation and acted accordingly. Plus, any time you start singing to a girl, it’s pretty much a wrap from there.
If you can make a girl laugh, you can make her do anything.
Women love men who can make them laugh. Is that all they want? Of course not. However, getting her to laugh and be herself around you increases your chances of getting with her by an astounding three-fold.
Even out of character during his wrestling days, The Rock used to put in the incremental work with pretty much all of the Divas in the company.
This behind-the-scenes footage of him proves just that. He surprised Trish Stratus during an interview and not only made her laugh, but you can see how flustered she immediately became. It’s just too easy for The Rock!
Sense when it’s time to go in for the kill.
Whether or not The Rock actually closed on Trish Stratus is nothing but speculation today. However, their onscreen chemistry and this promo, in particular, pretty much solidify what we all believed to be true.
Once again, Dwayne handled the moment like a champ and reciprocated Trish’s appreciation for saving her earlier on the show. Once he realized she was down, he got aggressive and went in for the kill.
Of course, they can’t show more than some hooking up on network television, but you get the picture. The people’s eyebrows at the end just put everything in perspective.
Never use your instincts.
In the 2012 film, “Journey 2,” Dwayne Johnson’s character, Hank, actually had some pretty good advice on how to get women. He said,
Don’t follow your instincts. Any other area in life, instincts will get you there, not with women. So whatever you think you should do, do the opposite.
This might be tough for men since most of us rely on our instincts for everything we do. Women, on the other hand, react to everything with their emotions, which is why they appreciate men who are thinkers and are in touch with themselves.
Let her know she’s not getting in the way of your focus.
At the end of the day, women respect men who are driven.
They’re not going to go after some bum on the street with nothing going for him (shout out to Homeless Joe), so you need to let them know they’re not going to get in the way of what you’re truly focused on achieving.
Once again, Trish Stratus tried to flirt with The Rock before his big title match, but he cut her off and let her know that defending his belt was the only thing on his mind.
Unfortunately, ladies can be distracting, but it’s all about how you handle it (afterward) that matters most.
