To celebrate the release of the new, live-actionBeauty and the Beast, the good folks at Decluttrput together a handy map showing exactly which princess is the most popular in each state in the U.S.
They used search data from Google to collect their information. Let’s take a closer look…
Here it is! The most popular Disney princess in each state…
Any surprises? What’s your state’s favorite princess?
Let’s break it down…
The most popular princess overall is Elsa. No surprise there considering the immense popularity ofFrozen.
She topped searches in eight states: Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Texas (even though the map shows Texas for Ariel).
Pocahontas came in at number two, topping searches in seven states! This may seem a bit surprising, but not so much when you realize she’s one of the few American Disney princesses.
Here’s where Pocahontas is number one: Alabama, Delaware, Iowa, Maryland, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.
Belle is very popular as well, which bodes well for the new movie!
Here are the six states where Belle is the most popular: Arizona, Idaho, New Jersey, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Washington.
Sleeping Beauty‘s Aurora was similarly popular even though she’s asleep for most of her movie!
Here are the six states that love Aurora the most: Colorado, North Dakota, Rhode Island, Vermont, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
Disney’s newest princess, Moana, has already made her mark. There’s just no telling how far she’ll go!
Here are the six states where Moana rules: Alaska, Georgia, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, and Utah.
