This Was the MOST Shared U.S. Tweet In 2016…and We Have ALL the Twitter Trends From This Year
True, Hillary Clinton lost the presidency to Donald Trump. But given the fact that he loves tweetingso much, he can’t be happy to hear that he lost to Clinton on Twitter.

During her concession speech on November 9, Clinton said: To all of the little girls who are watching this, never doubt that you are valuable and powerful and deserving of every chance and opportunity in the world to pursue and achieve your own dreams.

When her campaign staffers tweeted it, it blew uponline and has since become the most shared U.S. tweet of 2016.
It is also the third-most shared tweet of the year overall, behind this one from Spanish YouTuber El Rubius.
(Yes, “lemonade” is the top tweet of the year, people, so let’s hope it’s in reference toBeyonce and not just a refreshing summer beverage.)
And then behind a tweet Harry Styles wrote on his 22nd birthday, quoting a line from his former girlfriend Taylor Swift.
In addition to her quote above, Clinton’s clapback to Trump also scored the second-most shared political tweet of the year.
