There Are More Red Priestesses In ‘GOT’ Than You Probably Realized

Another day, another “Game of Thrones” revelation you need to read about.

I know how hard Hodor’s graphic deathhas been on all of us, so I want to switch gears a little and focus on the mystic, gorgeous women known as the Red Priestesses of the Red Temple of Volantis.

On season six episode five of “Game of Thrones,” we were introduced to the very mysterious and very gorgeous Kinvara, “High Priestess of the Red Temple of Volantis, the Flame of Truth, the Light of Wisdom and First Servant of the Lord of Light.”

I mean, who wasn’t frightened and a little turned on when she spoke to Varys and Tyrion in the throne room in Meereen, saying,

Everyone is what they are and where they are for a reason… Knowledge has made you powerful, but there’s still so much you don’t know.

I don’t know about you, but Kinvara can teach me any day of the week. In fact, I’m showing up early to class.

Back to the point.

Many“Game of Thrones” fans believed Kinvara was the second Red Priestess we’ve been introduced to since the show’s debut, but according to a recent Imgur post, it appears Kinvara could actually be the fourth Red Priestess we’ve seen.

You already know where you’ve seen Melisandre and Kinvara…

But a little digging reveals where we’ve seen these two other possible Red Priestesses on “Game of Thrones.”

The first woman, on the top right of the above image, appears in season five episode three, when Tyrion encounters her in the Long Bridge’s markets in Volantis. This apparent Red Priestess preaches of a “Dragon Queen,” but goes silent as she makes direct eye contact with Tyrion.

The other alleged Red Priestess is apparently named Quaithe, and she appears in the second season of “Game of Thrones.”

She speaks to Jorah Mormont in Qarth, talking of Dany and her dragons. Apparently, she, like Melisandre, a known Red Priestess, is a “shadowbinder” capable of powers and prophecy.

In addition to the above clues, there’s also the common theme of the hexagonal pattern featured on all four women, which leads you to believe they’re all Red Priestesses.

So, what else do all these women have in common? They’re all very attractive, and a lot of Reddit seems to have noticed.

Yup, everyone appears to be on the same page about these fiery ladies.

Until the next revelation, Throners!
